Documenting Happiness.

It was 2 in the afternoon, and the smell of the summer breeze filled my nose with a reminder that I could’ve left the with less than 3 layers.

I walked into my favourite cafe and the place is almost empty, save for the employees. I ordered a chai latte and took it to the window, watching the world turn.

Before I could rest my eyes, saving their battery for something worthwhile, a rapid influx of customers flooded the store and my ears with their static words. Cardboard cutouts of people only made distinct by their faces. The hustle and bustle of humanity.

To keep up with the frenzy, the weather turned gloomy and droplets of rain trailed down like falling stars. Heavy enough to keep people inside, but not so heavy as to disturb the calm of the moment.

And, in the moment of absolute mediocrity,

I was happy.
